Veteran agent Michelle Wilson has been investing in real estate for more than 17 years, and she made it official by getting her license in 2009.  She began her real estate career in Orange County, CA, specializing in the beach communities of San Clemente, as well as Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, and Laguna Niguel.

When she was with her previous company, a real estate firm in San Clemente, Michelle consistently ranked in the Top 10 out of more than eighty-five agents.  With just three months into the business, the first escrow that Michelle opened was for $1.2 million.  She has successfully negotiated transactions ranging from month-to-month leases to properties in excess of $1,000,000.  She has experience in short sales, probate and relocation, as well as standard sales.

Born in Aurora, IL, Michelle moved to the Los Angeles area in 1976 and grew up primarily in Hidden Hills and Calabasas, where she still has family.  She has also lived in IIlinois, Indiana, California (Hidden Hills, Conejo Valley, Simi Valley, and San Clemente), Connecticut, New Mexico, and Hawaii.

Michelle attended California State University, Northridge from 1986 to 1991, where she majored in Business / Accounting.  Prior to her sales career, she was an accountant in a CPA firm where she specialized in management accounting for entertainment industry clients such as editors, directors, etc.

With a sales career that spans 20 years, Michelle’s first sales job was for Lanier Worldwide, a company that marketed copiers to businesses.  She earned “Rookie of the Month” and consistently earned Most Units of the Month.  She then worked in the Music Industry, marketing music licenses to production entities as Manager, West Coast Film/TV Music for Zomba Music Services (Networks, producers, in-house corporate production units, television stations).

Michelle has lived in the Conejo Valley area since 1989, briefly moved to Orange County, and returned to the area in August, 2010.  She has been married for 19 years to husband, John and has four children ranging in age from eleven to seventeen.  The Wilsons have been residents of Moorpark since 2001, and all of Michelle’s children attend Moorpark schools from Arroyo West Elementary to Chapparal Middle School, and Moorpark High School.

Michelle has continually volunteered in her church and community.  She was Director of Parenting Ministries at Ascension Lutheran Church.  Over the years she has been involved in the PTA at Mountain Meadows and Arroyo West Elementary Schools.  You can also find her at sporting events where she participates as Team Mom in both PONY baseball and the Moopark Packer Youth Football program.  This past year she partnered with a local Moorpark business and helped organize donations for the Toys 4 Tots program.

Michelle is a member of the National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors and the Conejo/Simi/Moorpark Association of Realtors, as well as the Ventura County Regional Datashare.  She is certified in the 2010 Revised RPA.
